Solar Powered Camcorder

For those who use camcorders and are interested in getting some free recording time, you might be interested to know that online retailers (including Amazon.com) are currently carrying a solar powered camcorder.

The camcorder features a 12 MP image sensor and a 8x digital zoom that captures HD video in 720 x 480 pixel resolution. Uses AVI files for storage on a memory card that holds up 32 GB. Takes still images in JPEG form at up to 3000-4000 resolution.

The flip up solar panel extends the battery life up to 12 minutes for every hour it's charged. It also functions as a sunshade. The rechargeable battery lasts up to 5 hours on a 3 hour charge. Includes an AC charger also.

It's a no-name brand so buyer beware.
