Inventor Jerome Kelty decided the "Minty Boost" just didn't offer enough charge for his Ipod or iPhone. He took the Minty's basic idea of developing a solar charger housed in an "Altoids Tin" and modified so that it would power up any device that begins with an "I" overnight after charging up in the sun all day.Says if he shopped around for parts he'd been able to reduce the cost from ($71) to under $30. The Minty Boost kit retails for around $20.
