West Coast Green Conference On Now

West Coast Green is the largest convention/venue for "green innovation, building, business and design." The conference is taking place right now in Silicon Valley at the San Jose Convention Center til September 27th. A lot of the "Green" subjects will be discussed with a special emphasis on green buildings and green design. It's a big tradeshow for the "green building movement."

Speakers include green/environmental oriented architects and designers. There's a photo of "ED" on the site so there's a pretty good chance Ed Begley will be there greening around!

Saturday is "Homeowner's Day" when the public will be given access to professionals, products and information on how to modify their homes.

There is a company called "SG Blocks" that will demonstrate how to build a snap-together home out of old shipping containers. The new home built with these "blocks" can be built in half the time it usually takes to build a average home. This photo is shows the home starting to be assembled from the containers.
