CNET News is reporting that Schott Solar is going to invest $100 Million in a New Mexico factory that will manufacture equipment for solar power plants! Their long-term plan is to make a total investment of $500 Million.Production of this equipment is due to start in '09 and will focus in on producing receivers for their solar power plants and 64 Megawatts of photovoltaic modules.
Happily, the company forecasts that demand for solar will double over the next five years.
